Authentic Spanish Omlette

All you need:

6 eggs

3 tsp chopped parsley

500 g potatoes

1 onion (white)



Step-by-Step Guide

1.) You can choose to peel the potatoes or leave the skin on. Either way you must cut them into thick slices and chop the onion.

2.) Heat some olive oil in a frying pan and add the potatoes and onion and stir occasionally until the potatoes soften. Strain the potatoes and onion. 

3.) Beat the eggs separately then add in the potatoes with the parsley. Season with salt and pepper.

4.) Heat the pan again and tip everything into it, cooking on moderate hear and using a spatula to shape the omelette into a cushion.

5.) When almost done, invert it on a plate and slide it back into the pan to cook the other side for a few more minutes. Eventually slide it on to a plate and cool it for 10 minutes before serving.


Tasty Fried Rice

All you need:

2 cups white rice

4 cups water

2/3 cup chopped baby carrots

2 Eggs 

Soy sauce 

1/2 cup frozen green peas


Step-by-Step Guide

1.) Combine the water and the rice to cook.

2.) In saucepan, boil carrots and peas and drain.

3.) Heat wok with oil and stir in carrots and peas. 

4.) Crack in eggs, stirring quickly to scramble eggs with vegetables. Add the rice and add soy suace for flavouring. 

Baked Potatoes with Bacon and Cheddar


Bacon, Cheese & Potatoes? Individually, all these ingredients are already delicious, but combining them and baking them will equate in a bomb of deliciousness for you and your guests!

All you need:

4 baking potatoes, cut into halves

Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1/4 cup melted butter

8 slices of bacon (cooked & crumbled)

Optional:1/2 cup chopped green onions


Step-by-Step Guide

1.) Preheat over to 200 C (400 F)

2.) Brush both sides of the cut potato slices with butter, place them on a baking sheet and bake potatoes for 20-30 minutes until slightly browned.

3.) When Potatoes are ready top with cheese, bacon and green onion (optional). Continue baking until cheese is melted 

Flavourful Shakshuka

Not only is this dish easy and includes cheap ingredients but it will definitely surprise your guests too!

All you need:

Canned Tomatoes (with juice)

4 Eggs

Pita Bread (optional)

2 cloves of garlic, 1 Onion (diced)

Step-by-Step Guide

1.) In a skillet, add olive oil, garlic and onions. Add the tomato (plus juice) and break up the tomatoes. Let Simmer 

2.) Crack an egg into a small bowl and then gently slip the egg into the tomato sauce. Repeat with remaining eggs until the whites are firm and the yolks have thickened. 

3.) If the tomato sauce gets too dry, add a few tablespoons of water.

4.) Optional: Serve with pita bread 

Healthy Minestrone Soup for Rainy Days

All you need:

1l hot vegetable stock

400 g tin chopped tomato

100 g thin spaghetti, broken into short pieces

4 tbs pesto

350 g frozen mixed vegetables

Optional: grated parmesan cheese


Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Bring the stock to the boil with the tomatoes, then add the spaghetti and cook for 6 mins or until done. 
  2. A few minutes before the pasta is ready, add the vegetables and bring back to the boil
  3. Simmer for 2 mins until everything is cooked
  4. Serve in bowls drizzled with pesto and oil! You can finish it off, by sprinkling on parmesan (for all the cheese lovers)

75-100g wholewheat pasta

1/2 onion sliced

150 g mushroom sliced

40g extra light Philadelphia 


dash 1% milk


    Step-by-Step Guide:

    1. Put the pasta on to boil.
    2. Meanwhile slice the onions and fry in a little oil.
    3. Add the sliced onions and cook.
    4. Add pepper to the veg mix.
    5. Add the chopped ham
    6. Add the Philadelphia and milk to the desired consistency.
    7. Drain the cooked pasta and add to the mushroom sauce

    German Potato Salad

    1. Boil potatoes until cooked and allow to cool.

    2. Chop spring onions into small pieces and add to the potatoes in a large bowl.

    3. Squeeze a little lemon juice over the potatoes and spring onions.

    4. Add mayonnaise and seasoning and mix well.

    5. Keep refridgerated.
